It got sooooo hot today--so much so that we had to pull out a fan!! WOW :-)!

She comes up with a new laugh all the time...I think this one "takes the cake" :P (Sorry it's a little shaky...tickling whilst filming at the same time is quite hard, heh)

Tisha is getting tons of curls. It's too cute! I've been dying for one of my kids to have curly hair...it makes me happy :-)!

We made a teeny video for you today...just letting you know that we love and miss you mucho (we're working on our accents--not quite there yet, hee! Oh, and Alex's "no" answer was actually meant to be a resounding "yes" :-)--He'd just woken up from nap and was sort of in a bad mood.)!! Sorry it's not super good, I filmed it myself :P--but it's made with a LOT of love!

I'm with the older kids for Word time every morning and this is the latest key promise they memorized. (Yes, Alex is wearing a weird shiny thing on his head, I know. He was having "Pirate Day" and somehow wearing it made him feel like a Pirate=)

I know, I know! It’s not his birthday, nor is it Father’s Day or our anniversary…but still, I think this man deserves a post just because he’s that special…and besides I don’t need a good excuse to show some appreciation to someone who more than deserves it. Amen? I dub today “Sam Day.”=)
I think the Gods must have smiled on me one day because I sure got lucky. --Or maybe Sam was naughty in a past life so he needed to be punished, hehe…in any case, I love him and I’m so thankful that he is in my life. I’m truly blessed and he’s too good to be true. I couldn’t have asked for a better dad for the kids. He is amazing with them and goes above and beyond in his care of this little family. You’ll see what I mean once you’re done reading this list (and this is the short list, hee!). These are some of the things that make him so special and amazing:

• He's hot! But you already knew that =)
  
• Whenever I’m pregnant and sick as a dog, he’s faithful to bring me food and snacks—even though I do throw them up a few seconds after I eat them. He just goes and gets some more—Love.
• Takes really good care of newborns—spit-up and all
• He does laundry!! De-stains it! Hangs it! Folds it! Puts it away! (I know…you can be a little bit jealous, hee)
• He cooks fabulous meals (well, there’s 3 he cooks…but he does them WELL!!)
• He’s a good shopper and finds better deals for the kids than I do—from pacifiers to…well, just all sorts of things =).
• He reads the kids bedtime stories
• He makes sure all the kids have socks on and are warm enough before he goes to bed—EVERY single night
• He’s changed an insane amount of horrendous diapers—major “hats off” to this guy for that :P
• He cleans the room
• He’s neater than I am (NOT hard! Heh)
• Organizes my “organized messes”—only sometimes. I can’t find anything when he does that so he’s given up, heh.
• Makes the beds (if I don’t make it there before he does)
• Gets up at night to tend to the wailing children if I’m trying to sleep through it :P
• Mr. Mom
• Loves me when I’m grumpy
• Loves me when I’m being special (and I don’t mean nice special)
• Loves me when I’m mad
• Loves me when I’m moody
• Loves me when I steal the blankets at night
• Loves me even when I have that "sexy" “just woke up” look in the morning
• Loves me when I don’t put stuff away in the way he likes it…or at all =)
• Massages my neck for as long as is needed when I have migraines
• He likes spending time with me
• He makes my coffee just how I like it
• Sends me for a break when he needs a break from me…I mean when he can tell I need one :P
• Automatically offers to take the kids if I have a migraine or I’m not feeling well
• He’s a hard worker and does his work well
• He’s sensitive—good sensitive!
• He lets me blast my favorite music even though he hates it
• He’s patient
• He never gets mad (I’ve only seen him get mad once the whole time I’ve known him and it was so shocking that I couldn’t stop laughing, haha!)
• He lets me go to parties and stays back to watch the kids
  
• Smart
• Understanding
• And there’s more…

See what I mean? Lucky me, right? I know you may be wondering, “If Sam does all this what does Gina do?” Well…um…enough about me, this is Sam’s post =)!

If your man does a few of these things he’s great. If he does half of these things, he’s close to awesome. If he does almost all of these things he is awesome. If he does ALL these things, well…he’s Sam =)!

There was a car show in front of our house on Sunday. People were showing off their cool old cars. Alex liked them =).

I was having a particularly rough day yesterday and everything was getting to me. I was sitting on the floor trying to "pull myself together" and Alex comes over and notices that I was a little teary-eyed. He squats down to my level and with this real "now, sweetie" tone says to me, "Mommy, you know you don't get your way by crying, do you? How about we use some extreme praise, ok?" Pats me on the head, and walks off all proud of himself =)! I had to laugh...guess I use that line a lot! I was convicted. I got the victory real fast after that, heh!
