He's really into reading story's right now and reads so well.

The other day I had a bad migraine and was in bed all day. He came to check on me at one point and asks:

Alex: (Concerned look on his face) Mommy, how are you feeling?
Me: Not so good.
Alex: Would you like me to pray for you? (Prays the tweetest prayer ever)
Me: Thank you, Al!
Alex: Would you like me to read you a story so that you don't get lonely?

So, he climbs in bed and read Grandpa Jake stories to me for pretty much an hour as he held my hand. Awwwww! My precious little guy.
Such a Love!

Anyway, here's tonight's story. Such a sweet big brother!--And of course, as you'll hear, Tisha wanted a turn. :-):

I meant to post these pics with it:

Our first picture together :-)

These are from when we got legally married. Nothing fancy (at least I was wearing white :P). Simple but sweet...a few foolish moments...and yes, with the baby in my arms! :D He wouldn't let us put him down, so he joined in the fun, heh.

The loving and tender "I Do's"

Zee married couple without the chubby baby! :)

Smooshed noses and smooches :P

Here's to 5 wonderful years of marriage! May Sam be able to put up with me for many, many more! :P-- I'm not good with words, but I do love you, Sam! I'm SO lucky!

P.S. It's our anniversary. :)

There were never such devoted sisters...La di la...

There are perks to having kids so close together. These girlies are pretty close and enjoy being and playing together [sometimes!! Heh!]. It's so cute! Emilie often offers to put Tisha to "sleep" and play "Mommy"...Tisha tries to do the same to her. Caught this the other day at nap time.
:) Sweeties!

The Bench

I took a picture of us (yes, I took it. Hence the bad pic... and why I do not have a future in photography! :P) on "our bench" today and Alex wanted me to blog about it ...so, here goes.
Whenever it's not raining (haha!) and I want to get out and chill with the kids for a bit, sometimes we go to a nearby bench and have a snack, car watch or just chat. The kids have dubbed it "our favorite bench."
Yay! I have blogged about it and Alex is happy. :)
Here it is:

The kids love sneaking into bed with us...sweet and all...but not when they take over the whole bed or when it's SO early in the morning! --And can you guess which side is Mommy's? Yeah! :P

Don't forget that your time on Earth is very short compared to eternity, and that above all it is a testing ground, a school, and a demonstration to the entire universe. Life is not guaranteed to be easy. Life is full of tests and battles, and someone who endures through long or seemingly endless battles and tests of faith is a powerful testimony to all the watching hosts of Heaven. It's a testimony of the kind of faith that truly pleases God-the kind of "but if not" faith that endures endless difficulties because it believes in My promises and in My goodness and faithfulness to deliver‚ no matter what the circumstances look like.

(The Art Of War Part 2 #3533)
I'm memorizing this one :):
Real faith isn't contingent on results. You don't strengthen your faith by the events around you; you strengthen your faith through trusting Me despite the events around you.
You strengthen your faith by belief in Me and taking Me at My Word despite the results, not because of them. Anything else is proof or confirmation of faith, not faith itself.
Things go wrong and you love Me anyway—that's faith. You claim the keys and things don't turn out as you wanted, but you still go on for Me—that's faith. You have been disappointed before‚ but you try again next time—that's faith. You don't quit, no matter what things look like and no matter what does or doesn't happen—that's faith.

I went for a walk with the kids and we ended up feeding the swans for about 2 hours (there's a lake with ducks and swans close by --soooo pretty!). The kids loved it and it turned out to be quite the relaxing afternoon. :)

You never know who is going to walk in and out of your life. Life has so many unexpected twists and turns and if you learn to just accept them they help to weave the beautiful tapestry that is your life.

You'd be turning 25 today! I'm sure you're having a blast Up There. We love and miss you and you are still so dear to our hearts! Put in a good word for me and tell Jesus I love Him :-)! Happy Birthday, dear brother!

Just because I love you and...well...I'm also making sure you miss and haven't forgotten about me just yet :D! Don't cha miss me now? Hee! Don't worry, I'm still making it!

We went to a beautiful park on parent day. We had a picnic and fed the ducks...so nice and relaxing. The kids enjoyed it a lot! (You can't really see any ducks in these pix but there were actually lots of them :-)! )

Here's Tisha sampling the duck food :P

See, ducks! Waaaaaay over there :-)

There were also pigeons to feed

Getting a refill :-)

I got to hang out with Alex this morning...just me and my little guy. It was sooooo much fun. We went to watch a movie-- "Alvin and the Chipmunks" (it was his first time to the Cinema so it was very special)-- and then we had fun eating out. He's one cool kid and I'm one lucky mommy :-)!

He was trying to make funny faces :-)
